Opening bid $28,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction. Seller sandym1942.

Sellers description:
1952 Jaguar XK120 Coupe -- Rust Free Restoration Project
discovered in storage unit in Santa Clara, California -- undisturbed since 1998

Owner of vehicle defaulted on storage unit and lost vehicle to auction. No pink slip or title, but would receive a copy of auction certificate so that title could be acquired from DMV.

Vehicle has been dismantled for restoration, body mostly primed. Parts appear to all be there to reassemble vehicle. Original color was black exterior with red interior. Working to get body and engine numbers to list, but believe all are matching. Frame has been striped and repainted black, nice shape. Body has no visible signs of rust....very unusual. Wood interior dash in very nice, preserved condition. Some of engine is crated....transmission appears to be 4 or 5 speed manual. Windshield, rear window and side glass all in very nice condition...no cracks or chips. Doors are in nice condition with all hardware and glass, but not primed. Gas tank, radiator, exhaust pipes, seats, plywood body parts, trim, and so much more all there. Wire wheels are on the car, but the original wheels & hubcaps with discs are in the unit + spare. Cannot list everything in storage for the car.

Number stamped on frame under hood, by windshield is: J 2376
Chassis Number: 680365
Engine Number: 6653-8

There are many pictures of the vehicle but buyer would need to come to Santa Clara to load car and parts and haul away. This is a rare diamond in the rough if you are ready for a fun restoration project. Local pick up only. Upon sales transaction, I give access to the unit to the buyer and they will be responsible for cleaning out car and all it's parts. No VIN tag under the hood as it appears it was removed for restoration. May be in parts, but may not. Not sure if all parts are there to reassemble but many are.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
