Buy it now price $99,500 for 20 days. Now said to be in Costa Mesa, California. 23k miles.

Sellers descirption:
1953 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe. Chassis 680629, Engine W7197-8, Gearbox JL15120, Body J2636. this is a numbers matching example. This example has been owned for years by a well respected So. california Jaguar collector and following the cars restoration he showed the car at multiple JCNA sanctioned events as to have the car ranked on the National level. The car was ranked in the driven class of JCNA and was ranked 1st Nationally in 2001, 4th in 2004 and 5th in 2007. It remains a competitivly sorted example that has benefitted from careful and fastidious ownership and attention to detail. The car was built January 16th 1953 and sold new through hornburg in Los Angeles, CA. It has remained here in California. In addition to its largely stock restoration a couple thoughtful upgrades that enhance drivability include a high torque starter and coolant recover tank. If you are looking for an XK120 to drive and show this car should be considered.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
