Car had heavy accident front right decades ago and its body was a rough restoration. Body had been fully stripped and fully restored. Also the chassis had been chemically stripped and put right on a jig.

There is hardly a nicer and more balanced coupe than the XK 120. The purity of the shape, the absence of any ornamentation makes the XK 120 FHC a unique masterpiece. This particular specimen has a relatively protected life behind it because it is one of the rare Swiss vehicles imported by Emil Frey. Nevertheless, the car was once subjected to a large, typically Swiss refresher. So the car was equipped with a new interior and was freshly painted. After our analysis in 2004, we found that no brand specialist had worked on the car and so despite pretty paint a lot was in trouble. The then customer wanted a flawless car. So we lifted the car body from the chassis, varnished the car body and discovered underneath many solid patches and rough dentures, which were then covered with pewter tin. So followed a solid complete restoration of the car body. As part of the assembly, of course, the wiring harness was replaced and many many mechanical deficiencies resolved. Well, 13 years later, he stands there as on the first day when we delivered him to the customer and is waiting for a new owner.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
