Sellers description:
1953 Jaguar XK120 FHC.
Chassis number 681197
Registration number JSL893
Beautifully restored, this is a seriously usable road car. It is finished in unmarked old English white & fitted with wire wheels anodized to a burgundy colour. The interior has burgundy leather bucket seats, again in perfect condition. All the highly figured burr walnut is present & in lovely order.
The car has had vast amounts spent on it & comes to us with a plethora of large invoices. The chassis has been completely done so is is in lovely corrosion free condition. The brief was to make the car as drivable as possible so it is fitted with a Harvey Bailey handling kit, a large Kenlowe fan, C type head etc etc etc. The car sits on four period looking Blockley tyres. A leather strap runs across the bonnet. The car will be supplied with its heritage certificate.
It makes all the right noises & is a real pleasure to drive. Way above average. The car is in delightful condition with just a small amount of patination to give one the confidence to actually drive it & enjoy it as does the present owner. It is located not far from us near Moreton in the Marsh, Cotswolds & may be viewed there by appointment.

The latter was undertaken by renowned Jaguar specialists Northwick Restorations of Blockley, Gloucestershire and included sand-blasting the chassis, fitting new sills, a bare metal repaint in Old English White (by Tilleys Restorations), engine overhaul, and new MWS wire wheels finished in Burgundy and shod with Blockley tyres. Other noteworthy features include bucket seats, Monza filler cap, bonnet strap, leather spring gaiters and an HMV radio with iPod connection.
A many-times local concours winner since its completion in the mid-to-late 2000s, this much improved XK120 is described as in generally very good/excellent condition, running well, and offered with sundry restoration invoices, MoT/tax to April 2012 and Swansea V5 registration document.

I purchased this XK120 in June 2023 from a chap who had owned the car since 2012 and who resided in Suffolk. The car remains in appearance as per the images on this page accept the wing mounted mirrors have been removed. The car continues to be in very presentable condition and has been the subject of much expenditure over the last decade.
