I'm slightly puzzled by the claim that 800011 is the car in the photo. As I understand it,the picture shows an XK120 racing at the jahore GP and was taken in 1951. A similar photo of the car in the same race can be seen in Paul Skilleter's Jaguar Sports Cars. It was racing 4 years before 800011 was built.

The statement is correct "This special body was fitted to Popes XK140 roadster chassis number 800011" the special body on the XK120 chassis you see was later transferred to Freddie Popes XK140 roadster, The special body was fitted at various points to 3 different cars: Brian Hawes unidentified but very early steel bodied XK120 roadster, Alloy 120 owned by freddie pope and then his XK140 800011

Car attended the XK70 event June 2018. Information provided by the owner: Previous owners RF Broomfield & Freddie Pope. Originally registered in Singapore and imported to UK in 1968. Driven in competition by Freddie Pope (quite successfully judging by the number of cups in the period photo!) and by Stirling Moss.
Colours now: Pastel Blue with Due Blue interior. Located in Hampshire, England.
