car is now in ebay for sale: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-XK140-OTS-RHD-/281848581717

description: Manufacturing Date: 8th February 1955
Release Date To Dealer 11th August 1955

For sale with us is a very rare XK140 OTS RHD.

This really is very much a barn find car! Out of a total production runoff 74 cars, this vehicle is one of the first 16 Special Equipment Cars, which meant that it came with Wire Wheels, Manual Overdrive Gearbox and the all-important C Type Head, and 2 inch Sand Cast Carburetors. On top of this, it is one of Three Jaguar Work Cars which was retained in 1955 for show purposes. This is a matching number car, complete with a rare works supplied Hard Top!
The car comes with Heritage Certificate from Jaguar and VC5 Document.
The vehicle is for TOTAL RESTORATION and very complete, also without doubt the rarest of XK range.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
