This car was an Earls Court Motor Show demonstration car and was subsequently allocated to the Jaguar Cars Experimental Department. At one time it was used for development testing of the Dunlop disc brake system, test driver Norman Dewis was heavily involved. Eventually returned to produce (RTP) on 19 Dec 1961.
