This 1955 XK140 FHC was acquired by the vendors late father in 1983, in a pretty poor state and showing 32,240 miles. Between 1983 and 1990, the car was comprehensively restored with no aspect of the car remaining untouched. On completion of the restoration the odometer was reading 32,296 miles.
We now move on to the year 2000, when the vendor purchased the car from his fathers estate, when it had covered just 33,041 miles. Since that time the car has been kept in dry storage but has been serviced and MoT tested each year but it has covered just 49 miles in this time and only 850 miles since 1983.
The car is now offered for sale in excellent condition throughout. It is finished in BRG with tan hide interior and sits on chrome wire wheels. The original wheels are still with the car and there are a number of previous MoT certificates, which date back to 1972, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, a selection of receipts and various XK publications, videos and a service manual.

This nicely presented right-hand drive Fixed Head Coupe vacated the Browns Lane factory in 1955 and is finished in British Racing Green and trimmed in Tan leather. 'VWJ 882' has benefited from a thorough restoration during which the engine was modified for more power and the standard gearbox replaced with a five-speed Getrag unit. The vendor considers the retrim to be "lovely", the refurbished Walnut woodwork "beautiful", the bodywork, paintwork and engine "very good" and the transmission "A1". The Jaguar comes complete with history file, Heritage certificate and MOT into November.
