See June 1980 edition of Thoroughbred & Classic Cars (UK) for the story of its rescue in Singapore, and restoration. Last heard of in 1998 as being in Indonesia.

I now own this car, which was repatriated to England (from Denmark) in February 2023. It has been re-registered, and travels under its ex-factory reg. number of NKV 208.

I bought the car (back) from Denmark in February 2023. It was sent from the factory in 1956 to become a Diplomat's car in Malaya (as was). It then went to Singapore, where it was eventually bought in a dilapidated condition and rebuilt by two Brits. It was bought by another ex-pat and returned to the UK, where it was registered in his wife's name as TEU 32S. This lady sold it to a Danish gentleman in 1986, and he spent years undertaking a very thorough 'ground-up' restoration. Due to poor health, he sold it (to myself) in 2023, when it was shipped back to the UK, and re-registered by me under its original number plate. The car is in excellent order throughout.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
