Car to be at auction
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 125 - 1954 Jaguar XK140
Estimate: €75,000 - €90,000
Registration Number: EU Taxes Paid
Chassis Number: 810055

Originally delivered to California, this elegant left-hand drive example was the 55th Roadster off the production line, manufactured on the 21st October 1954 and dispatched to the States on the 2nd November.

Having just undergone a comprehensive restoration including an engine rebuild, new clutch, re-finished in metallic grey with a contrasting re-trim in red hide with matching new carpets and contrasting black hood and tonneau, this fine example is resplendent on new chrome wire wheels with new tyres and re-chromed bright work.

This matching numbers example is supplied with EU taxes paid documents, original US Title documents and a current UK MoT certificate.

With the last owner since 1975 this very desirable and rare model is beautifully presented and a must for any serious collection. It embodies what a Jaguar is all about safe in the knowledge that this car will still look fabulous from any angle in another 58 years.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
