Ebay item 3/7/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-Jaguar-XK-140-/200584050650
Opening bid $39,995, no reserve, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 43k miles.
Sellers description:
1955 Jaguar XK-140 vintage treasure..unit has been titled twice once in 1955 and again when it was purchased in 1965 by the current owners...was titled originally in NH and has now been titled in Fl since 2005. .vin # 810297 title # 95559705, DC/FEID# E61052824 2nd DC# E610570285250...color is robins egg blue which has been re-painted...have over 40 pics...of which I could only list 12 in this venue..thought it prudent to list pics w/ the owners in the car as they have a race car lineage from many years ago.."younger days"..where they ran the Bryer racing circuit..and have raced w/ Newman and Woodward...yes a great many stories to tell w/ this one...the vehicle has very small superficial rust in some areas...someone key scratched it "if you can imagine" ..and I've lost the ability to continue in blue..the frame for the top is available...material is compromised...new wiring throughout..including a whole new wiring harness all parts from England design.. All gauges work w/ the exception of the odometer ..which bounces numbers around..it never reads below the original 39,000 but may on occasion bounce to higher and lower mileage..the owners who have been diligent over the many years maintaining this trophy have only put an additional on or about 4,000 miles..they really just drove it occasionally for show.
