This beautiful 1955 XK 140 Jaguar was built 29 December, 1954; dispatched 19 January, 1955 to distributor Charles Hornberg, LA, California; and was purchased by the current owner in 2010. This car is part of a collection owned by a long time British auto enthusiast, having owned over 100 various British marques over the last 55 years, including many Jaguar marques.
The Jaguar was sympathetically restored by the current owner 2015-2016, returning the roadster back to exterior and interior factory colors. The body is in outstanding condition, as can be seen in restoration photos (upon request). The interior is in beautiful condition as it was replaced by a professional vintage auto upholstery shop. All 4 wheel cylinders were rebuilt in June 2021. Accessories for the 140 include a black Haartz cloth top, tonneau cover and side curtains.
The car fires up directly from a cold start, idles perfectly and all 4 gears shift smoothly. The current owner has kept the car in excellent driving condition and retains service and parts records. While not a 100 point show car, this XK 140 is a head turner and took first place in it's class at the 2021 Waynesboro British car show. This is a great driver, not a trailer queen, and has always been reliable and fun on road trips.
Price: $100,000.00 OBO
