Freshly repainted in Red with Tan leather interior, this is an accurate and correctly restored example in the most desirable and lightest Roadster body style with complete weather equipment, five chrome wire wheels, Lucas fog lamps and tool kit with lead knockoff hammer. The engine, cylinder head and ID plate numbers all match. A svelte and voluptuous Jaguar roadster that needs no excuses, this is the right configuration and the right car.

    Auction description:
The XK 140MC offered here has benefited from a cosmetic restoration and is painted in red with chrome wire knock-off wheels, wrapped in wide whitewall bias-ply tires. The interior is finished in tan leather with matching carpets, woodgrain dash; it also comes with side curtains and a tan cloth top. Under the bonnet is a lovely presentation of the DOHC inline six-cylinder engine fueled by twin side-draft SU carburetors. This Roadster is fitted with a four-speed manual transmission and Lucas driving lights.

The car shows 73,307 miles with an exempt title and the engine is believed to be original to the car. The MC roadsters are rarely seen and this one presents itself to be an elegant example of an iconic era of Jaguar motoring history.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
