A good comlete entry and numbers match except that the engine number would be more in sequence as G 6616-8. Could this possibly be a mis-read?

Hi,Peter, no the engine number should be correct:in the trace certificate from the Jag Heritage Trust, the plates in my car, and in the official german license document.

Hi Peter. Just found out that my XK140 had been fitted with a 150' engine head (V6279-8) without notification to me at the time of purchase. This explains my confusions with the numbers. And we found out further flaws, which will be corrected now. What did i learn? To have confidence in the restorer may be good-controlling is better! (modification of a motto from Lenin)

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
