Car was imported into Australia (Victoria) from USA before 1971, converted to right hand drive. Little road use in, mainly, one family ownership from mid 1970s. Car is essentially original, in fair condition, with restoration to begin in 2006.

812413 is nearing conclusion of a full restoration and should be back on the road in 2010. Most bodywork and mechanical rebuild undertaken by the owner, with professional input to rebuild major mechanical items.

This 140 OTS has had a rotisserie restoration and mechanical rebuild. completed early in 2011, with only replacement of the soft top and tonneau to be done. Moss box has been rebuilt and works OK, for a Moss box! Consideration is being given to a later Jaguar box upgrade to bring the driving experience up to the aesthetic one! The bodywork includied a new firewall to redo more accurately a rough RHD conversion undertaken in the early 1970s when it was apparently imported from the USA to Victoria. A smaller (15") steering wheel has now been fitted to allow easier driving (tall owner) and despite 6 inch wheel rims fitted steering is fine after a full suspension set up and wheel alignment. Owner looking forward to enjoying the car now after its 4 year home restoration.

All synchro with O/D gearbox from an XJ6 was fully overhauled and installed, using original bellhousing and clutch mechanisms. Car now is a delight to drive. Original, restored C/R Moss gearbox retained for any future owner to re-install.

Regrettably, I have sold the 140 OTS to new owners in Victoria in April 2019. They are Jaguar enthusiasts developing a collection, and who well appreciate this iconic Jaguar and I am sure will look after it with the care and appreciation it warrants!
