    Car now offered at:

    www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1957-jaguar-xk140mc-roadster-c-16498.htm

    Seller's description:

Introducing this recently discovered 1957 Jaguar XK140MC Roadster Special Equipment with factory overdrive featured with a numbers matching 'C'-type cylinder head and a numbers matching gearbox. This vehicle comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate confirming the original factory color scheme of black complemented by a black and red piping interior, which is a highly sought-after and rare color combination.

This blue-plate California car is equipped with a manual transmission, inline-six engine, SU dual carburetors, 'C'-type cylinder head, drum brakes, Smiths instrumentation, a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel, wire wheels, Jaguar-branded two-eared knock-off wheel spinners, and Firestone tires. What sets this XK140MC apart is its rarity, featuring factory 9:1 compression, C-type head, and a close-ratio gearbox. This combination of unique features makes it a standout among its peers.

Under the bonnet, this Jaguar has 9:1 short-skirt pistons from CP, fitted to a block of correct configuration. While the original block may be gone, the cylinders have been ground for new pistons, 4.2L rods have been installed, the crank has been ground .010, oil passages have been cleaned, new crank plugs have been fitted, and the engine has been balanced for optimal performance. The head of this vehicle has also received special attention, with new valves & guides, 3-angle seats, cam bushings, valve-seals on the intake side, tappet lock plates, and clearances adjusted.

This particular Roadster has undergone a significant amount of time and money invested to bring it back to its former glory. To truly appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that went into this Jaguar.

Having resided in the sunny state of California with same owner for many years, this Open two-seater carries with it a rich history and a sense of nostalgia. Do not miss your opportunity to acquire this highly collectible Special Equipment Jaguar XK140 MC that has been tucked away for many years and is a prime restoration candidate. For $38,500
