Description from above seller:
127 800 EUR
1957 Jaguar XK140 OTS - Matching numbers - Heritage Certificate - Concours Winner
Fully restored, matching numbers Jaguar XK140 Open Two Seater (OTS) in original black over a red leather interior and with only 06012 kilometers on the odometer after a complete restoration. The car retains its original 3.4-liter double-overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine making 190 brake horsepower and a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. A Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate included in the sale confirms matching numbers, black exterior, red leather interior, overdrive, build date (December 6, 1956), US dealer taking delivery (Jaguar Cars of New York), and the first owner (Miss Gigi Reynolds, Miami, Florida). The car was later sold to the second owner, Mr. Harry E. Kilden, Ohio, who subsequently sold the car in 1998. A copy of the Ohio title is included in the sale. The car was later fully restored, including an engine rebuild, original paint and interior, and an odometer in kilometer (restoration are shown below). The car won the Concours prize in 2002 (photos below). The original Service Manual is included in the sale.
The car is coming out of long-term Danish ownership (since 1998). Invoices for engine work in the US dating back to 1987 and invoices in Denmark from 2001 are included in the sale. A complete inspection and service confirm that the vehicle is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition and can be enjoyed as-is for many years to come.
