Does this still exist? It has already escaped destruction once when five of its siblings were destroyed in the factory fire on 12 February 2009.

If it is alive it would be the last known LHD Roadster to survive. That title is presently held by S813270 now a Proteus C -Type replica which itself has a somewhat dubious parentage (see xkdata)

Yes she certainly does exist!

The poor coot has been embroiled in a family squabble arising from attempts to settle an estate. (Coot is the term of endearment that was used for the Beastie twenty+ years ago...)

I have just learned it is "hidden" in Bolton MA, not VT as we had originally been told. The Probate Judge here in CT has ordered the relative that is hiding the car to provide access for an appraisal. His wife may be amenable to complying with the Judges order. If (when) access is "granted" I really would like to have a number of folks on hand to offer their opinion. I want, no I need to be fair to all of us, and to the process of law. But mostly, to my Mom's car...

If you can help, or can suggest someone who might, please contact me at wooziewikfors@snet.net. After all these years of haggling and court stuff, now, all of a sudden, I'm being told "it's got to get done now!"

After years and years of Probate problems, the once-gorgeous-girl is finally, and legally mine.

Oh, but there is so much work to do!

Peter,
Thanks for cheering me on! When this all started, I was thinking to convert her to a plug-in electric. But now that I know her historical significance, obviously I won't. Next week we'll try to get her to crank. Then I have some decisions to make. ?Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket?

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
