Car now offered at:
www.runnymedemotorcompany.com/MoreDetails.php

Sellers description:
1955 Jaguar XK140 SE FHC finished in Black with matching black hide interior and Walnut Veneered dashboard and door cappings. When new the car was exported to Canada where it resided until 1991 when it was repatriated to the UK. Since then it has had only 2 owners the last of whom has owned the car since 1996. During his ownership the car has had an enormous amount of refurbishment work carried including a virtual mechanical rebuild and a back to metal repaint with photographic record. It has resided in Scotland and has been used for tours of the Scottish highlands. This is the higher specification SE model and is fitted with an overdrive, "C" type cylinder head, individule bucket seats, a period Motorola 5 push button radio with twin speakers and a period woodrim steering wheel. It sits on new wire wheels and new Blockley period design tyres. The car is superb to drive and easily keeps up with modern day traffic and would be ideal for Jaguar Enthusiast's club events and Classic Car Rallies. Realistically priced at £69,950

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
