Current bid $12,322 reserve not met, 3 bids 6 days left in auction. 58k miles.

Sellers description:
1956 Jaguar XK140 DHC.This car was sold new in San-Diego, CA, it was sold in the late sixties to a gentleman in Texas. This owner drove the car till 1974.
In that year he placed the car in his garage on blocks with the intention of restoring it. He painted the car red, however the original color is old English white which is still visible in some areas.
The car was discovered in the spring of 2012, the owner now in his eighties decided it was time for the car to find a new owner.
This car was never in an accident, the panel fit is excellent, the frame is straight, no dents just a light dusting of surface rust.
The chassis has two openings, from the factory, to allow for a dual exhaust. The car is rust free with the exception of some rust under the air vents, bottoms of both rear wheel openings and some
slight surface rust underneath. The car is equipped with wire wheels, Lucas fog lights and a new dual exhaust system. The engine spins freely.
The bonnet fits perfectly between the fenders. The bumper fit to the car is excellent and both doors and trunk close like a they should.
Overall a desirable rare car in very good original condition ready for a straight forward restoration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
