Car was at “Coys’ Sports Car Auction, Nuremberg, Germany, 21 April 2007. S824114. 1957. FHC. Black. RHD. Eng. VA9558-8. This car has always been registered in the UK and has only had three owners from new. A restoration, including a re-spray, took place in 2004. It is said to be in very good overall condition but the unique selling point is the remarkable 17,976 miles showing on the clock, which the auctioneer’s description says “is believed to be correct”. If so, this must be the lowest mileage 150 FHC available anywhere. Lot 134. Estimate Euro 42,000 - 52,000.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
