Extensively refurbished example
This stylish XK150 Drophead Coupe was completed in 1959 to right-hand drive configuration and delivered through London dealer Henlys that year. Arriving in Australia some time ago (as recorded in Terry McGrath and John Elmgreen's wonderful reference work "The Jaguar XK in Australia" published in 1985), the car has since been refurbished by the previous owner, the interior trim and seats re-done and a new black hood and tonneau fitted approximately five years ago. An original manual gearbox car, the XK150 is equipped with electric overdrive and an electric choke, while the XK engine retains the original twin SU carburettor set-up. Used sparingly over the past decade, the Jaguar was purchased by the most recent owner - a good friend of the previous custodian - three years ago and has reportedly been a pleasure to drive in that time. Nicely presented, with a lovely patina developing inside and out, the XK150 would be a fabulous club car, ideal for rallies or shows. Currently, on non-transferable historic plates in Victoria, the car will therefore be offered for sale unregistered.

Seller's description:
Jaguar XK150 DHC RHD 1959
Chassis number: S 827449
This Jaguar XK150 drophead coupe is an original UK right hand drive car. It was originally sold by Clarke & Simpson of London and later exported to Australia (we believe in the 1980's) where the engine was changed and an overdrive was added to the gearbox. The car was returned to the UK at the end of 2018. It has since had extensive mechanical renovation including a full suspension rebuild with polyurethane bushes and adjustable shock absorbers and a full brake rebuild here at Twyford Moors.
The car is in good mechanical order, runs and drives nicely and comes with a years MOT. This XK150 offers an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a rolling restoration or simply a car which can be used and enjoyed as is.
