Car to be at auction 6/18
www.bonhams.com/auctions/24810/lot/200/

Auction description:
Lot 200
1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4 ROADSTER
US$ 90,000 - 130,000
To be sold without reserve
Greenwich Concours d'Elegance Auction
3 Jun 201
Chassis no. S830667DN
Engine no. V4194-8

Built on the 10th of June, 1958; this Jaguar XK150 Roadster was delivered in the beautiful combination of Cream (also referred to as Old English White) over Red Leather with a Fawn colored soft top. Being one of the 1,173 cars to be exported, the car was later dispatched to Jaguar Cars of New York on the 26th of June, 1958.

This XK150 Roadster received a comprehensive restoration in recent years by the very capable hands of Jeff's Resurrections based in Taylor, Texas. The car was restored to match its factory delivered livery, and even today the car presents in excellent form. The body is in fantastic condition, with good panel fitment, while the paint is still shining strong. The engine bay shows very nicely, with engine operation running smooth and the transmission shifts and functions well.

The interior is in fine condition showing very little patina since the restoration. The car did receive a special burlwood dash which replaced the leather covered dash panels, and contrasts quite nicely against the red hide. Sparingly driven since its restoration, this XK150 is in excellent overall condition and would make quite the statement in for any collection, show, or rally

Car to return to auction 8/19

rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/af19/auburn-fall/lots/r0356-1958-jaguar-xk-150-roadst ...

1958 Jaguar XK 150 Roadster

$90,000 - $120,000

Offered without reserveRM | Auctions - AUBURN FALL 29 AUGUST - 1 SEPTEMBER 2019 - Offered from the Suburban Collection

One of just 1,173 exported for 1958

Comprehensively restored and beautifully presented

Fitted with an exceptional burled wood dash

Jaguar Heritage Certificate in place

Built 10 June 1958, the example offered here left the factory wearing highly attractive Cream paintwork over a Red Leather interior with a Fawn top. Comprehensively restored to this very color scheme in recent years by Jeff’s Resurrections in Taylor, Texas, the paintwork, brightwork, and luxurious red leather interior with matching carpet appears to be nearly new. The engine bay also shows beautifully, with clean surfaces, shiny paint, and brightly polished chrome surfaces throughout. At the time of restoration, the car received a unique and highly attractive burled-wood dash in place of the usual leather panels, a classic and highly attractive touch. Included with the car is a Jaguar factory service manual, wheel hammer, and a selection of documents.

As the last of the fabled series of sporting Jaguars that started with the XK 120, the XK 150 represents the end of an era. XK 150s are noticeably more refined and sophisticated than their older siblings, and they are excellent automobiles for touring. Driven only sparingly since restoration, the car offered here will provide the new owner with an incredible driving experience even today, some 61 years after it was first introduced.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
