This XK was assembled towards the end of 1959 and then shipped to the USA where it was first registered in 1960. While in the USA, the matching numbers engine received a new cylinder head from a Jaguar Mark VII and the coachwork was repainted many years ago together with the restoration of the interior. The Virginia title indicates that the elegant coupĂ© was in the same ownership from November 1979 to May 2010, before, in September of the same year, it was taken over by a Swiss enthusiast. In November 2010 the Jaguar was imported into Switzerland and parked in the new owner’s collection. In October 2018, the XK was acquired by the next collector who added the car to his private exhibition. Today the Jaguar presents itself in fair to good condition. The engine runs and the car is basically driveable though many years of inactivity certainly will require a careful recommissioning. The car will be sold with the US title and the Swiss customs clearance.
