car for sale on: www.stelvio.dk/uk/product_detail.asp
Description:
The XK 150 was luxury sports car in its days and as a classic today it still is. Chassis number 838567 is an 3.8 liter SE (Special Equipment) version and one of the very few sold new in Denmark through the Danish importer O. Sommer A/S. In the early postwar years Ole Sommer got an apprenticeship at Jaguar in Coventry. Back in Denmark he graduated from the Polytechnic University with an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering and in 1952 he became the official Danish importer of Jaguar cars. His magnificent collection of Jaguars include both an original C-Type and D-Type.
Chassis number 838567 has not been on the road for many years and in principle under a total frame-off restoration since 1990. Every component on this car is either rebuilt or new. The original matching numbers 3.8 liter engine is fully rebuilt and fitted with triple 2" SU carburetors as on the "S" spec engine. We have fitted a new 5-speed Tremec gearbox greatly adding to the drivability of the car and taking full advantage of the powerful XK engine. The original matching numbers Moss gearbox will of course accompany the car. Interior is new Biscuit leather with matching carpets by a professional upholsterer as is the new double-layer soft top in Mohair.
We are thrilled to be able to offer this beautifully finished and full matching numbers Imperial Maroon XK 150 to the market for the first time in decades. Comes with Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and VAT paid for all EU member states (not deductible at export to non-EU countries).
