Sellers description:
This 1955 XK140 is up for auction and will need restoring. The car is pretty much complete. The car is missing the front and rear bumpers, the hardware on the boot, 1/2 of the driver's seat and part of the dash. The clocks, the hood frame, the steering wheel, the horn button, the heater, the throttle assembly are with the car and are in boxes that will come with the car. The body, gearbox and chassis numbers match, but the engine is out of a 1956 XK140. The body number is F10793. the gearbox number is OSL27589B and the engine number for the car should be G1760-8. Naturally the car does not run, but does roll and steer for ease of shipping.
