Car on ebay 11/24
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267059508666
Classified ad price £47,500 for 10 days, seller castleclassiccars
Seller's description:
This Jaguar XK140 comes from long term family ownership where it has resided since 1996. The car was inherited in 2020 but has spent the majority of its time since then in storage and the family have now decided that it should be sold and enjoyed by someone who will use the car.
The car was maintained by its owner who was an engineer and therefore able to undertake what was necessary to keep the car in excellent condition. It has recently come out of storage and we have checked the car over and given it a service. It is running very well indeed with no issues. The engine has the useful upgrade of an aluminium radiator.
This is not a matching numbers car, but apart from that everything is correct. The interior is particularly nice and it has clearly been refurbished in the past; the leather seats continue to look fresh as does the dashboard surround.
There is a full set of wet weather gear which is in good condition and has not been used for some time. The panel gaps are excellent especially around the doors and they both close with virtually no pressure required.
The underside also appears to be in excellent condition. The only aspect of the car which needs attention if the next custodian wants perfection is the paint which is crazed in several areas along with some areas where the paint has flaked. There is no indication of any rust and this is more down to the paint failing in places which will almost certainly be down to how it was prepared and painted. The paint finish that was achieved was in fact very good as the photographs will demonstrate. You could very easily live with the paint as it is given that the car is still very presentable.
The history file contains the V5, along with an original XK140 models Jaguar catalogue.
