A Good Driver Vehicle
Our vehicle is in good overall condition and well cared for, and drives very well. It has an interesting history, and has very good interior, paint and chrome. This XK is an older restoration, has had a recent engine head rebuild, and a recent complete service. This vehicle does not need to be restored, it is a good driver as is.
Classic Showcase, Inc. did not restore this vehicle. We did, however, take this XK on a recent outing to a British Car Event. We drove it about 70 miles round trip. This 1957 Jaguar XK-140 ran splendidly at 65-70 mph on the freeway and handles superbly on country roads throughout the whole trip. This turn key Jaguar XK-140 is ready for its new home. Comes with a convertible top, tonneau cover, and removable side curtains

Additional description from above auction:
1957 Jaguar XK140 Roadster
To be offered at auction WITHOUT RESERVE ,Friday, August 13, 2010
Chassis No. G94448
Estimate: $80,000-$110,000 US
- One of only 3,347 Roadsters built
- Fastidiously maintained and very well-sorted
- A timeless and elegant sports-car design
The 1957 Jaguar XK140 offered here is one of just 3,347 Roadsters built and is presented in excellent driver-quality condition, having been maintained to a high standard. The paint, interior and mechanicals are all in good shape, needing very little to be superb. Very few classic cars are as well sorted as this example, and even fewer make it to market.
The body and glass are in excellent condition. The Jaguar’s finish looks excellent, with only small imperfections, while all the original emblems are present and remain in good condition. The interior is upholstered in original-style leather, which remains in good condition, and the door panels are also in matching material and are of the same caliber, with no damage. The carpet is also good and shows very little to no wear, while the original instruments and switches continue to function nicely.
Mechanically, this XK140 runs and drives very well and is powered by the legendary 3.4-liter, six-cylinder XK engine, mated to a brand-new aftermarket five-speed manual transmission, maximizing the car’s considerable performance potential. The engine compartment is very nice in its presentation, maintained to a good driver quality. Additional features include an aluminum radiator, front disc brakes, stainless-steel exhaust headers and a stainless-steel exhaust system, as well as a walnut dash, steering wheel and shift knob. A brand-new soft top and wire wheels shod with brand-new tires complete the exterior enhancements.
This timeless sports car icon never fails to gather crowds of admirers wherever it goes. Owned and maintained by a fastidious long-time collector over the last seven years, it is enjoyable, usable and reportedly very well sorted.

In 1954, the improved XK 140 offered improved cooling, braking and precise rack-and-pinion steering, as well as greater passenger comfort and legroom, while retaining the 102-inch wheelbase and essential styling of its predecessor. During a brief three-year run, approximately 9,000 XK 140s were manufactured.
The 1957 Jaguar XK 140 offered here is one of just 3,347 Roadsters built and is a great driver-quality example. The white paint, red interior and mechanicals are all in good shape; along with body and glass which are in good condition as well. All the original emblems are present and remain in good condition. The interior is upholstered in original-style red leather, and the door panels are also in matching material and are of the same quality.

Additional features include an aluminum radiator, front disc brakes, stainless steel exhaust headers and a stainless-steel exhaust system; as well as a walnut dash, steering wheel and shift knob. A newer soft top and knock-off wire wheels shod with blackwall tires were added in 2010 and complete the exterior.
This Jaguar was purchased by the Current owner in 2010 and has benefited from a recent servicing.

Ebay item 12/3/15

Opening bid US $109,500 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction. Seller stlouiscarmuseum, 89k miles. Car now said to be in St. Louis, Missouri.
Sellers description:
Brilliantly kept and refined XK140SE OTS Roadster! All numbers matching engine, upgraded with Tremec T5 5-speed transmission, performance front disc brakes, aluminum radiator, stainless steel header & Falcon exhaust, and more! A splendid driver!
We are very pleased to offer this final production year 1957 Jaguar XK140SE OTS Roadster. Finished in Old English White with original Red leather interior and new black cloth convertible top, it remains fully equipped with original, numbers matching 3442cc Inline 6 cylinder engine fitted with dual SU H6 carburetion, gorgeous 16" chrome 60-spoke wire wheel wrapped in new Michelin X radial tires, factory Lucas fog lamps, dual exit exhaust, 4-spoke Walnut steering wheel, wood shift knob, laminated windscreens, and dual fender-mounted mirrors!
This exceptional example bears a wonderfully solid chassis and body that has remained original without and noted damage or rust repair. The body has been repainted in the distant past and remains very presentable today, while the interior leathers appear to remain original and in remarkable condition. The walnut wood dash is a near perfect indicating proper care, with clear functional gauges, and working safety items. Overall, a terrific platform that became the perfect candidate for the former owner of 5 years to upgrade with a few driver modifications that included a transmission upgrade to the Tremec T5 5-speed fully-synchromesh manual transmission, stainless steel exhaust header mated to a Falcon Stainless steel dual exhaust system, and Wilwood front disc brake conversion with slotted & cross-drilled rotors! Other significant upgrades include front seat belts, aluminum radiator, polyurethane upper & lower control arm bushings, torsion bar bushings, new ball joints, all new Boge Automatic shocks, new engine & transmission mounts, new starter, upgrade Crane Cams Fireball HEI ignition, and alternator charging system to a negative ground system!
It is skillfully tuned for easy starts and immediate enjoyment! It comes with a matching chrome spare also fitted with new Michelin X radial tire, jack, Thor mallet, wrench, crank handle, and oiler. The odometer upon arrival to our showroom read only 89,724 which would appear to be original, but the St. Louis Car Museum does not have enough evidence to support an actual mileage claim. Also included will be factory side curtains and cabin tonneau cover. It represents one of only 3,347 Open Two-Seater XK140 Roadsters built between 1954 through 1957. Based on this production #2983, it was certainly nearing one of the final vehicles manufactured. A splendid driver example and one eager to cruise all open roads with confidence! Titled off original engine # G9444-8.
