Car offered at:

classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1955/jaguar/xk_140/101418381

Seller's description:

1955 Jaguar K140 Fixed Head Coupe (Project)

My father purchased this incredible classic in February 1997 and has stored it inside for the past 23 years. Previous owner was a doctor in Georgia who disassembled it and restored the engine and chassis before passing. The engine runs beautifully and she has been started regularly during storage. Some body work has been completed. Hood, LH fender, trunk and roof in good shape. RH fender, sills, doors, floors, etc... still to go. Great starting point on an amazing car. Car is located in Hilton Head, SC. Asking $24,000 but open to cash offers - it's time to start moving on some of the collection.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
