Sellers description:
1956 Jaguar XK 140 Fixed Head Coupe. The current owner of this rare Jag bought the car from her brother in 1960...and he was the original owner! Has been in the same family since new. About 13 years ago it underwent a minor restoration...and never really put back together. The rear bumper is missing. The car was stored for many years in the desert in California...and the sun took its toll on the paint on the roof...but it is surface rust and easily removable. When we picked up the car from its owner...it was driven out of the garage onto our flatbed tow truck! It will probably need some tinkering to get it to run since it has been sitting for so long. There isnt any rust that we saw...all the wood looks good...the dash wood needs revarnishing though. This appears to have never been an abused car or one pieced together from parts...this is a nice survivor type example which will need an easy restoration to be an outstanding car. Mileage listed is not accurate.
