Seller's description:
This car was purchased on Ebay in May of 2020. It had been out of service for many years, stored in exposed conditions, it was parked after overheating and a piston seizure. The engine has been changed from engine #G7645-8 to engine #G8503-8S. It has the matching "C" Type head and "Special Equipment" wire wheels, dual exhaust, and Borg-Warner automatic transmission. The restoration was a frame-off with a complete engine rebuild. The transmission was replaced with the same DG250 Borg-Warner from a later XKE. Over $85,000. Cdn. was spent (not including labour) and is documented. It was completely disassembled and over 3 years was rebuilt using many new parts supplied by Moss Motors. It is presently licensed and driven on the road, though my interest is more in restoration than driving. I would describe the appearance as a good 10 footer, but that is a subjective valuation. The reason for selling is that I promised my wife I would only have one car for restoration at one time. I presently have three and am on shaky ground. The seats were upholstered in vinyl by a professional.
