This car was supplied to Ian Appleyard, the famous Jaguar rally driver who originally rallied NUB 120. He and his wife/co-driver Pat drove RUB 120 in the 1953 Alpine Trial, achieving a class win. Later in 1953 the car was fitted with a DHC body modified with rear seats to satisfy the entry requirements for the Norwegian Viking Rally, although Ian and Pat Appleyard in the end chose to enter a Jaguar MkVII. Following a successful rally career with the Appleyards the car was sold and rallied by Denis Scott. It was eventually broken up, although the body may survive
