Car offered at:

Sellers description:
Magnificent 1952 Jaguar XK 120 SE restored by the French specialised workshop Cecil Car. The last service maintenance was completed in spring 2007 where the brake master cylinder was replaced.
The present owner acquired the car in 2004 just after it had received a completely new dark blue leather interior. The wool carpets match the colour.
The paintwork in silver-grey represent an outstanding alternative to the standard colours of green, red, blue and white, that represent ¾ of the XK120’s.
The "Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust" certificate available with this car certifies that it’s an original XK120 SE. The SE-models are the rarest and most desirable of the XK 120. Their engine’s develop 180 BHP instead of the standard 160 BHP. They almost always have painted spoked wheels. The option SE only appeared from 1951 on and only the last models could be ordered in this option.
This beautiful car was mainly used for touring and has never been raced with one exception, it participated at the festival “Automobiles Historiques” near Paris in 2004, which was a hill-climbing race over less than 1 km. This car is French registered and available in Paris.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
