Ebay item 8/17/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1953-Jaguar-XK/173999534475
Opening bid US $22,500 no reserve 0 bids 6 days left in auction, seller absolutexks, 100k miles.

Seller's description:
Up for auction is a 1953 Jaguar XK120 Open Two Seater - Roadster restoration project. The car was dismantled many years ago for restoration and never finished. Unfortunately the original engine was separated from the car and it no longer retains the matching number engine. It did however manage to keep its original gearbox and data plate. The good news is the car is equipped with a correct "W" stamped XK120 engine.

The chassis is in exceptional condition and extremely solid showing little to no corrosion or damage. It's a great start to restore the XK120 roadster of your dreams!

Included in the auction is everything pictured including the following items:

Complete free turning "W" 3.4 litre XK120 engine, carbs, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, water pump, distributor and starter.

Original matching number gearbox, original seats, convertible top frame, windscreen, side curtains, all steering components with the exception of the steering wheel and the
Original dataplate.

NEW replacement bulkhead, inner valances, door hinges, boot hinges, gas tank (aluminum), new weld in marker light housings, sills, wood floors and gearbox cover.

Extra set of headlight pods.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
