This car was imported into the UK in 1988 and restored and converted to RHD over the next 20 years.
It was first registered in the UK in August 2007.
It was then upgraded to a 5 speed gear box, front disks and rear telescopic dampers between 2007 and when I acquired it in August 2009.
It's hardly original, but it is a delight to drive.

I think your body no should be F 6149. Can you confirm original g/box as JL 17095

Quite right about the body no. Peter. A typo and II have corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out. Can't find any ref to the original gearbox number, but I'll dig through the copious docs that came with the car and try and find out.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
