This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster was built on April 30, 1954 and refurbished between 2009 and 2010. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, reportedly from its second owner. Subsequent work involved rebuilding the water pump, cleaning the fuel tank, and replacing the battery, radiator hoses, and heater core. It is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Cream over red leather. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, a black convertible top, a split front windshield, chrome 16” wire wheels with knock-off hubs, and Smiths gauges. This XK120 SE roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment records, factory literature, a spare set of wheels, and a Pennsylvania title.
The car came finished from the factory in Cream and was repainted in 2010, at which time the brightwork was re-chromed. The seller notes a tear in the black soft top.
Replacement chrome 16” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with Firestone tires measuring 6.00-16. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with telescopic-type hydraulic shock absorbers as well as semi-elliptical rear leaf springs and Girling hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums. A spare set of knock-off wire wheels accompanies the vehicle.
The cabin was refreshed during the aforementioned refurbishment and features bucket seats that were reupholstered in red leather complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a passenger-side grab handle, door map pockets, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles. The clock is inoperative. The removed stock steering wheel is included in the sale.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features a C-type cylinder head and dual SU carburetors, and it was factory rated at 180 horsepower in Special Edition-specification. Work in preparation for the sale consisted of rebuilding the water pump, cleaning the fuel tank, and replacing the heater core, battery, thermostat, and radiator hoses. The seller notes an oil leak.
Cylinder head stamping F3007-8S is viewable above, and corresponding numbers are stamped on the engine block and listed on the chassis plate as well as the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Factory literature accompanies the vehicle.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows factory colors and numbers and indicates that the car was dispatched on May 10, 1954, to New York via Hoffman Motors.
The Pennsylvania title carries an “Antique Vehicle” brand.
