Owner: Edward Peterson

This is the first car that I ever owned. I will also keep it until the day I die, and I ain't planning on going anytime soon. I was raised in the California car culture, and I wanted my first car to be the most classically beautiful car that I could afford.

After graduating from college, I began working as a Criminalist, and this was before it became popular. I specialize in the examination of firearms and firearms related evidence. I am very good at my profession.

This is my first car. I bought it as a young man in September 1968 and swore that I would never sell it. When I bought it, I was told that the original owner was Charles Hornberg, which probably added $5.00 to the value of the car.

Factory records show this was built in July 1954

For Peter Ingram; Before there was a Heritage Certificate, I wrote to Jaguar to get information about the car. I received a letter confirming almost everything I had known except for the name of the first owner. I had been told the first owner was Charles Hornberg, but I would like to confirm that, if at all possible. Is it possible for someone to take a second look at the factory records to see if the name of the first owner is listed?

Hornberg were the principal West Coast dealership so in a sense they "owned" all the Xks they handled
I don't think the factory had names of 1st owners in USA

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
