Sellers description:
Offered here is chassis S676128, one of the last XK120SEs produced. As an SE version, this XK120 is a spectacular performing car. The SE, or Special Equipment option featured increased horsepower, stiffer suspension, and a dual exhaust system. This XK120SE was expertly restored in the 1990s and has led a pampered life ever since. It is also a correct matching numbers car including the chassis, engine, and gearbox, which are all original to the car. It carries new Avon tires and rides and drives, as well as it looks. All electrics are in good working order and this Jaguar comes complete with all of its repair and restoration receipts. The quality, fit and finish is clearly evident in all areas of this fabulous Jaguar. The beautiful Red finish is absolutely stunning and its interior is nicely finished in leather. The detailing on the undercarriage is perfect and the engine compartment is highly polished making for an impressive presentation of its twin cam six. This Jaguar rides on its correct wire wheels for a truly impressive sports car look. Prospective buyers should look this car over closely in order to fully appreciate its attention to fine detail. Top down touring couldnt be better than in a XK120SE from Jaguars past, and this one is ready for both show and go.

Just returned from the USA and tripped over this car.
photographing the engine number I said to the owner do you realize this is one of only 32 XK120's with 9 to 1 compression engine - no he didn't he had really noted it was even 9-1.
That makes 2 of the 32 I have seen.
I did try to see the one owner 9-1 120FHC in california but maybe next time.

Description:

VIN #: S676128

Transmission: Manual

Condition: Mint

Exterior: Red

Interior: Tan

This car offered here is possibly one of the most exciting XK120's that exists today. One of the select 33 XK120's ordered with the higher performance 9 to 1 compression 3.4 liter XK engine from the factory. Even better, out of the 33 cars this is one of only a handful that is a factory Special Equipment model with higher lift camshafts, dual exhaust and a lightened flywheel. To go even further this car is the only 9:1 SE with a real factory racing C-Type head with larger ports and even different camshafts than a factory SE! The wow factor of this car is over the top. Complete with its Jaguar trust heritage certificate, this is a matching numbers car with all of its original components. Even the casting numbers on the cylinder head are proper and indicate its real racing C-Type head configuration. Even the tachometer in this car is special with a green colored "red line." Originally finished in cream with a blue interior and a blue top making the history of this car even more mysterious. Our speculation along with Fred Hammond at the Jaguar Archives North America in New Jersey is that this car was most likely ordered by someone significant such as Briggs Cunningham for racing purposes, especially with its colors and special engine. Fred told us that an average Joe could not have walked into a Jaguar dealer or even directly into Hoffman in New York and ordered a car like this. You had to know someone within Jaguar with pull to have had a car like this. Now finished in red with a tan leather upholstery, this car is absolutely stunning. A restoration was carried out around 20 years ago and has since held up beautifully. More recent work since our recent acquisition that has been carried out includes a mechanical maintenance service and new leather upholstery. This is the best and fastest XK120 we have ever had. If you are looking for an XK120 and want to have something that no one else has, this is the car.

Price: $140,000
