Sellers description:
Dorset Jaguar & Sports Cars are very proud to offer for sale this magnificent Jaguar XK120 DHC SE. 'FAS161' was registered new exactly one month after Her Majesty's Coronation and therefore shares it's sixtieth birthday with the Queen's Jubilee. Supplied new by renowned Jaguar concessionaire for the USA Charles Hornburg of Los Angeles to a Mr Allan H Buck from Oklahoma City, this is chassis number S 677590, the 590th to leave the factory and number 590 of only 1472 left hand drive XK120 DHC's produced, this being a very special 'SE' model with extras features including knock-off wire wheels, twin exhaust pipes, high lift camshafts, stiffer front torsion bars and fog lamps. Imported into the UK in 2002 and on it's arrival into Great Britain she received a ground-up restoration in the hands of well-known Jaguar expert Robert Taylor, instructed by its new local multi-millionaire businessman owner who purchased and had the car restored as a 50th birthday present to himself. However, due to business and family commitments less than 250 miles were ever driven in the car between 2002 and now, enabling the car to remain in completely restored condition. The underneath is as perfect as it appears on top and the the interior is as near to perfect as we have ever seen on an XK120. Many essential upgrades were carried out on the car including a 5 speed Getrag gearbox, E Type 3 Pot front brake calipers with disc brakes and electric battery isolator switch. Finished in gleaming Jaguar Red with contrasting ivory hide, we present this matching chassis numbers car with current V5 document stating only one owner since importation in 2002 and Jaguar Heritage certificate. This sensational XK120 would benefit any private collection and is a great enjoyable long term investment!

Lot 124 - 1953 Jaguar XK120 SE Drophead Coupe
Estimate: £55,000 - £65,000
Registration Number: FAS 161
Chassis Number: S 677590
This particular car is a very special SE model with extra features including knock-off wire wheels, twin exhaust pipes, high lift camshafts, stiffer front torsion bars and fog lamps. Imported to the UK in 2002 and on upon its arrival into the UK it received a ground-up restoration in the hands of well known Jaguar expert Robert Taylor, on behalf of its owner who had the car restored as a 50th birthday present to himself.
However, due to business and family commitments less than 250 miles have been covered to date enabling the car to remain in excellent condition throughout. The vendor informs us the underneath is in as good condition as the bodywork and the interior is also described as excellent. Many essential but subtle upgrades were carried out on the car including a 5 speed Getrag gearbox, E-Type 3 pot front brake callipers with disc brakes and electric battery isolator switch. This matching numbers car comes complete with the current V5 document stating one owner since importation in 2002 and a Jaguar Heritage certificate.
A fine example of one of the rarest of XK models and described by the vendor as being in excellent condition in every respect, this British drop-head sport scar represents a rare opportunity to acquire a fine example with all the costly work completed.
