Offered for auction on eBay; Item #4621322863
The ad reads:
This wonderful automobile is the subject of a just completed full body-off restoration-mechanical and body. No expense was spared. The car looks great and runs beautifully! British Racing Green with Cinnamon interior and top. The engine develops 180+ HP @ 5000 rpm. Only 1767 drop head coupes were made (fewer SE models). I replaced the original Moss gear box with a better shifting 5-speed transmission. The original box goes with the car as does the original radiator if the buyer is a purist. All new: top with lining, interior and wood; body sandblasted to bare metal and painted; all electrical components rebuilt including instruments; wire wheels, spinners and tires (5); entire engine rebuilt; front shocks and rear springs with gaiters; full door skins and wood; boot lid skin and wood; all chrome re-done; stainless steel dual exhaust system; aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled electric fan. Front suspension and rear axle rebuilt.

Auction description:
Sale 18267 - Exceptional Motorcars and Automobilia, 12 Aug 2010 to 13 Aug 2010
Quail Lodge
Lot No: 250•
1954 Jaguar XK-120SE Drop Head Coupe
Chassis no. S678097
This late XK-120 Drop Head Coupe from the Oldenburg Family Collection has the optional Special Equipment package, which comprised a high-performance C-Type cylinder head, dual exhaust system and wire wheels. With a high-lift camshaft and stiffer valve springs, this enhanced engine develops 180bhp.
For many years the car lived in Florida with a collector enthusiast who performed a progressive restoration of the car with the clear intention of rebuilding it to be dependable and usable in modern road conditions. To achieve this, he sensibly improved the cooling with a new aluminum radiator and to take some of the stress from the motor he replaced the transmission with a five speed gearbox, finally to create more space for the driver, a 14-inch Motolita steering wheel was fitted. A repaint in British Racing Green was completed, a tan interior trim kit was installed and the dash/wood refinished, while newly chromed wires completed the visual package. All of this work was completed to a good standard for an amateur and provided him with a great running car with a great exhaust note!
Offered complete with the original steering wheel should the next owner prefer this, as well as a service manual and an original jack, this is an all weather XK for the enthusiastic Jaguar Driver.
Without reserve
Estimate: $60,000 - 70,000
