The UK 1998 Jaguar Drivers Club Register says this engine replaced with F 3640-8 and was then Maroon

    Thank you for your remark.
However, I purchased this automobile recently from the second owner with all paperwork since 1975 including the Hemmings advertisement plus an early Jaguar Heritage certificate (at that time free of charge).
The car came with the original engine and head separate, currently being rebuilt. Color is also being changed into the original color black. Hope my comment satisfies your curiosity.

This car was originally purchased by my grandfather when he was in the military. He imported the car from England. The original intent was to race the car in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Recently dug out the paper work to see if I could find the owner. Glad to see it is in good hands.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
