This 1952 Jaguar XK120 SE is a Fixed Head Coupe that was produced on October 22, 1952, and distributed via Max Hoffman in New York. The car was acquired by the seller’s father in 2014 and subsequently refurbished from 2015 through 2017, with work including a repaint in silver and a refresh of the red interior. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter inline-six that is equipped with dual SU carburetors and is linked to a four-speed manual transmission. The car is also outfitted with chrome bumpers and bumperettes, silver 16” wire wheels with knock-off hubs, burl wood trim, and Smiths gauges. This XK120 SE Fixed Head Coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of an estate with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a South Carolina title in the name of the late owner that describes the car as a 1953 model.
Finished from the factory in Suede Green, the seller states that the car was repainted silver during the 2015-2017 refurbishment by Roger Lyons Restoration of Sanford, North Carolina. It is equipped with chrome front bumpers, chrome rear bumperettes, and a single exhaust outlet. The right window was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Silver 16” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with whitewall tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with telescopic-type hydraulic shock absorbers as well as semi-elliptical rear leaf springs and Girling hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums. The wire portion of the wheels are noted to have been refinished, and the rubber cones have been replaced.
Red leather upholstery covers the seats and is complemented by color-coordinated carpets and door panels in addition to burl wood trim. Appointments include a slide-out storage tray, door map pockets, and a wood shift knob.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a burl walnut dash panel that houses Smiths instrumentation, including a 140-mph speedometer and a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. The instrumentation was repaired in preparation for the sale.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features dual SU carburetors, and it was factory rated at 180 horsepower in Special Edition specification. The seller tells us that work performed in 2025 has involved repairing the crankshaft pulley and carburetor float in addition to replacing the crankshaft bolt, crankshaft damper, harmonic damper, lower radiator hose, and water pump belt.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate shows factory equipment, colors, and production information.
The current South Carolina title carries an “Undisclosed Liens” brand. The car is being offered on behalf of an estate.

This 1952 Jaguar XK120 SE is a Fixed Head Coupe that was produced on October 22, 1952, and distributed via Max Hoffman in New York. The car was refurbished from 2015 through 2017, with work including a repaint in silver and a refresh of the red interior. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter inline-six that is linked to a four-speed manual transmission. The car is also equipped with an aftermarket aluminum radiator, a replacement single-exit stainless-steel exhaust system, dual SU carburetors, chrome bumpers and bumperettes, silver 16” wire wheels, burl wood trim, and Smiths gauges. Acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in March 2025, this XK120 SE Fixed Head Coupe is offered in California at no reserve with refurbishment records, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean South Carolina title that describes the car as a 1953 model.
Finished from the factory in Suede Green, the car was repainted in the current shade of silver during the 2015-2017 refurbishment by Roger Lyons Restoration of Sanford, North Carolina. It is equipped with chrome front bumpers, chrome rear bumperettes, and a single exhaust outlet. The rear bumperettes are inverted, and the right window was replaced in 2025.
Silver 16” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires that are said to have been installed around 2016. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with telescopic-type hydraulic shock absorbers as well as semi-elliptical rear leaf springs and Girling hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.
Red leather upholstery covers the seats and is complemented by color-coordinated carpets and door panels in addition to burl wood trim. Appointments include a slide-out storage tray, a locking glove compartment, and a wood shift knob. A fuel tank from another model is said to have been installed under previous ownership, and the trunk compartment has been modified.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a burl walnut dash panel that houses Smiths instrumentation, including a 140-mph speedometer and a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. The instrumentation was repaired in 2025.
