Car was sold on ebay for $11,500, 10/19/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-/262101163849
Sellers description:
1948-1954? Jaguar XK120 SE FHC. Let me start by saying that I am not familiar with Jaguars, at all. I will describe the car to the best of my ability, all questions are encouraged and will be answered swiftly. I am not sure what year it is, I'm sure one of you Jaguar experts will be able to decode the VIN properly, short of figuring out that it is an SE model, I have failed otherwise. The car will need a full restoration, rust, rot, pitting, dings & dents. It appears to be mostly complete however. Pictures will be your best guide. From what I can see, the frame looks good, I have not had it on a lift however. It both rolls and steers. There is no engine or transmission in the car, however they are both included. The engine looks complete, carburetor to pan. It is stamped 3.8L on the side, from what I have gathered, this is not correct. The previous owner assures me that 40 years prior, that engine was in the car when it was on the road. There is also a transmission, completely disassembled, a spare cylinder head, a bell housing, clutch, flywheel, starters, water pumps and a few other misc. things. I have a Pennsylvania title included with the car, matching the cars chassis #, the title says it was transferred in 1960 and does not state the cars actual date. It will be up to the buyer to find a way to transfer it, as the original owner has long since passed away. This would make a good parts car as well, I've seen worse XK120's brought back.
