BRG with red interior, which looks like the original color combination. Wire wheel car with some very neat period modifications- louvered bonnet with leather strap; subtle red pinstriping; red brake drums; British flag on right front wing; 7 1/4" tri-bars; a pair of xk140 style fog lights with aux. switch; pair of 7" spot lights with aux switch; racing style fuel filler; rally clock mounted to dash. Must have been a serious rally car back in its day! Car came to Louisiana from
Indiana many years ago.
Other than the modifications, which I suspect were made 45 years ago, the car is/was in very nice, original condition. Paint of course not perfect, but great patina on seats, chrome and wood. Unfortunately, it now has a moderate coat of mud and grunge on top of the nice patina. Cannot imagine that the generator can power all of those lights; however, normally one would only use the h/l and driving lights at the same time, with the fogs only burning by themselves.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
