More information has surfaced 10/21 from the current owner. After being exported to Australia the car was "returned to the UK in the mid 90’s." Possibly to Guernsey, Channel Islands. Now said to be in London wearing private registration 4 BGN.

Seller's description:

Chassis number S804719 one of 839 right hand drive XK140 Fixed Head Coupe’s produced was dispatched on 7th June 1956 to Brysons Jaguar of Sydney Australia. The Jaguar is fitted with the rarely found Laycock overdrive that was only fitted to 10% of XK 140’s

After having three owners the XK was repurchased by Bob Bryson in 1978 who later commissioned Classic Autocraft to conduct a full restoration.

Autocraft were known as the ultimate Jaguar workshop In Australia, with a worldwide reputation for remanufacturing the Jaguar D Type.

At this time the Jaguar was repainted in Jaguar Indigo blue whilst retaining the biscuit colour interior. The current condition of the Jaguar is a testament to the extremely high standards of the restoration, being in superb condition throughout.

In 1995 the Jaguar was exported to Guernsey a year later it was purchased and prepared by the renownedJ D Classics for a new owner in the UK.

Thereafter the car was maintained by TWR Jaguar in Oxford, Guy Salmon and Blue Diamond in Bicester with an upgrade to disc brakes all round and a power steering unit being the EZ electric power steering unit making the XK a complete joy to drive, these works carried out in 2017 costing over £7500.

There is a comprehensive history file that includes several mot’s confirming the Jaguar has covered just over 8;000 miles since 1996,

Mechanically the XK is superb with perfect oil pressure and and with the overdrive unit she is a joy to drive. All instruments are working correctly

The interior and wood work are faultless, in addition to all the exterior bright work. There is an electric cooling fan and period style seat belts fitted.

The Jaguar was fully serviced and MOT, d in May of this year, and has covered 300 miles since.

There is a heritage certificate and original handbook and sales brochure.

This is an opportunity to aquire a stunning XK140 which is being offered for sale only due to a house move. The personal registration can be included within this or the price can be adjusted if the number is retained.

Price £87,500 Mileage 17,238 Miles, Cranleigh, Surrey, UK
