This 1955 Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster was built on December 1, 1954 and originally owned by Bruce W. Odlum, a film producer and son of financier Floyd Odlum. Currently finished in British Racing Green, the car was purchased by the seller five years ago and underwent a refurbishment between 2016 and 2017 that included a refresh of the interior in black leather and a new soft top. A rebuilt Special Equipment 3.4-liter twin-cam six was also installed and fitted with new SU carburetors, and it is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Modifications include electronic ignition, an alternator conversion, and front disc brakes. This left-hand drive XK140 Roadster is now being offered with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a clean Tennessee title in the seller's name.

Originally finished in Pastel Green, the body was repainted in British Racing Green at some point prior to the seller's acquisition. A new black soft top and rebuilt side curtains were sourced during the 2016-2017 refurbishment, though the original soft top was Fawn in color.

New 16" chrome wire wheels with knock-off hubs were installed in 2017 along with a matching spare, and new Bridgestone Ecopia tires were mounted. Front disc brakes were also added in place of the original drums. Factory Special Equipment features were retained, including driving lights, a dual exhaust, and windshield washers.

The interior is trimmed in black leather and received new upholstery, new carpets, and a new dash as part of the refurbishment. A 4-spoke wood Moto Lita steering wheel has also been fitted.

The Smiths instruments were rebuilt during the interior work, and the odometer shows 63k miles. About 500 miles have been added by the seller, who says he has primarily driven the car to local shows and cars and coffee events.

The 3.4-liter DOHC XK inline-six was sourced and rebuilt during the refurbishment, and is the correct Special Equipment variant with original C-Type cylinder head as indicated by the S suffix in the engine serial number G2786-8S. It is also equipped with the twin 2" SU H8 carburetors that were featured on SE engines. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox with Laycock de Normanville overdrive. Electronic ignition has been added inside the original distributor housing, and the generator has been converted internally to an alternator. Other work done at the time of the engine replacement included installing new ceramic headers, a new oil pan, and a gel battery, and polishing the camshaft covers and intake manifold.

The Jaguar Heritage Certificate lists the original owner and build date, as well as the original colors.
