Purchased by me through my company Classic Motor Action - Belgium on August 30, 1992 from David Nunn of El Cajon, California. David was only the second owner of this wonderful roadster and had purchased himself the car on February 02, 1961 ! He had a job at the Maire (city house) of San Diego and drove the car to his work. At one moment he decide to have the car repainted in a kind of bronze metallic and retrimmed the interior in light tabacco. A funny colour combination to his own taste. James had become old and had lost his wife. He kept the car as long as he could but thought it was time to let it go. The engine was running, not very smooth however as it had been sitting very long. But it was a very interesting C-type car with overdive and full options. The car was totally rustfree, black plated and from the most southern part of California. What a great car ! What a bad taste in colour as well..
I imported the 140 in Belgium on October 07, 1992 and sold it a few months later to one of my customers in France.

Hi, well not so funny. AFAIK no XK140's were available in the early metallic colours, but for an XK120 OTS a standard factory colour combination was (metallic) Bronze with a Biscuit & Tan interior. That interior looks like Jaguar "Tan" or "Pigskin Grain Tan" to me, but not two tone like many XK120 OTS interiors were. Nice looking car, even if non standard colours for an XK140! Cheers!
