Additional description provided by the XK Gazette, Market Observer:
A Club car advertised in the Gazette February issue , which I followed up and received more details from Tom Nolan who is selling the car on behalf of his father. He states the 84K miles showing is actual and it has been in the family since 1989 while the two previous owners were both in Southern California. Described as in great overall condition this is exactly the kind of cherished un-rebuilt example that is so difficult to find these days.

Ebay item 8/1/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-Jaguar-XK140MC-Roadster-Very-Original-Rare-Type-C-/ ...
Current bid $33,433 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction. 84k miles. Car now said to be in Santa Barbara, California.
Sellers description:
A gorgeous and exceedingly rare Jaguar XK140 MC Roadster. Finished in timelessly elegant and era specific white over a red interior with matching red wire wheels, this car turns heads wherever it goes. Always garaged and cared for by three doting owners, this unrestored example is very original and unmolested, exuding a beautiful patina that only adds to its vintage look and feel. It's truly the perfect weekend investment car: stunning to look at, extremely collectable, a joy to drive and very presentable (but not so perfect that you have to trailer it everywhere). We're sure that its next owner will be thrilled with this Jag, whether used and enjoyed in its current state or as an impeccable platform for a show quality restoration.
The car's finish is in great shape, marred only by minor imperfections that don't show up in the pictures and in no way detract from the car's overall appeal. All of the brightwork is in excellent original condition, as is the soft top. The wonderfully era specific red wire wheels are wrapped in period reproduction Firestone wide whitewall tires with plenty of remaining tread. The engine bay and trunk are both tidy and original, showing absolutely no evidence of front or rear collisions and the car's the original side curtains are included and in good shape. The car's interior is equally clean, its red leather seats free of tears, rips or significant fading. The same is true of the door panels and dash and the original carpets show typical wear.
The car is rust-free, solid and straight. It's a a joy to drive, easy to start without any smoke or hesitation, smooth through all of the gears and pulling with consummate C Type force. We've had our mechanic look over the car and the only thing it will need in the future is a valve adjustment and a new owner. Very few cars of the era compare in terms of actual drivability and power and it's therefore no surprise that the XK won Le Mans as many times as it did. But while the drivability is somewhat modern, the styling is incredibly vintage with flowing, graceful yet still aggressive lines that were the envy of every design house throughout the end of the 1950s and arguably still are today. The E-Type is iconic, but the XK oozes class, exclusivity and sophistication; a proper gentleman's roadster.
