This stunning Left Hand Drive XK 140 Roadster was imported by the present owner and vendor from Jupiter Island in Florida in 1989 and was at that time in very good condition. It is a manual car with no overdrive and there was some small amounts of work undertaken by him in 1990 just simply to give the car some detailing.
It is painted in Dark Red and has a Tan interior and a bare metal respray was finished earlier this year and the engine was completely rebuilt. These weren't done because it was absolutely necessary but more because of the exacting nature of the vendor - they weren't quite good enough.
We are informed that the car is now in excellent condition throughout and is extremely reliable with the added benefit of a high ratio differential. It has a current M.O.T. test until June 1997 and tax until May next year as well. The car comes with its Florida certificate of title, a letter from Jaguar confirming its origins, a manufacturers statement of build and details/bills from a local garage covering the work that was done.
A simply splendid example of this stunning car!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
