    This 1956 Jaguar XK 140 Roadster is manufactured 21.09.1956 and has been sold as new by RM Overseas dealer in Dusseldorf, Delaware, USA. The first owner was called J.H Haught JR. The car was sold from the USA to Sweden in 1995 and further to Finland in 2003. The current owner J. Nietosvuori bought the car in 2018.

    The car was restored in the USA in the 1980s and thoroughly renovated at Grips Garage in 2018: The car’s carburetors were refurbished and the fuel lines, fuel pump and fuel tank were renewed. The brakes were renewed and some wearing parts of the steering and suspension were renewed. New wheel hubs and wire wheels, painted to match to the interior, installed with new period correct tires. The floor pans and door sills were renewed and rear wheel arches refurbished.

    The Jaguar is thoroughly serviced in October 2023. The fuel pumps and fuel lines were cleaned and the spark plugs were renewed. The engine oil and filter were changed and the transmission oil was checked. The Jaguar was Mot/Tüv inspected and the inspection of the historic vehicle is valid until October 2027.

    The Jaguar runs great and is really good to drive. The engine works perfectly and the transmission is working precise without any additional noices.

    The car is registered as a historic vehicle, it is Mot/Tüv inspected & valid until 2027, ready to enjoy.

    This Jaguar XK140 OTS (open two-seater) is a 1950s sports car, benefiting from an extensive prior restoration. 

    Under the bonnet is the 191PS 3.4-litre DOHC straight-six, coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. 

    Manufactured in September 1956, it was sold new by the RM Overseas dealer in Dusseldorf, Delaware, USA.

    The car was restored in the USA in the 1980s, before being exported to Sweden in 1995, and subsequently to Finland in 2003.

    It benefited from an extensive renovation by Grips Garage in 2018, and has reportedly covered less than 500 km since the work was completed. 

    The odometer shows 33,289 km, though this is not warranted.

    EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

    This XK140 is finished in cream, with chrome bumpers and body trims, and a dark brown leather bonnet strap. 

    It rides on dark brown multi-spoke wire wheels with two-eared spinners and whitewall tyres. 

    The cabin is trimmed in brown leather, and also features a black four-spoke steering wheel and a set of wind deflectors. 

    Accompanying the vehicle will be its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, a historic vehicle certificate, a collection of invoices from Grips Garage, and a soft-top roof and frame.  

    CONDITION

    Specific notes from the seller include: small patina, marks of use, cracks, chips in the paints and small wear and tear in the interior; the soft top that is slightly patinated.

    The car is registered as a historic vehicle, and its TÜV is reportedly valid until 2027.

    SERVICE HISTORY

    The most recent service was performed in October 2023 by Grips Garage. The fuel pumps and fuel lines were cleaned, the transmission oil was checked, and the spark plugs, engine oil and oil filter were changed.

    The car was renovated by Grips Garage in 2018, and included refurbishing the carburettor and fuel lines, and replacing the brakes, various steering and suspension components, and the wheels and hubs. The floor pans and door sills were renewed, and the rear wheel arches were refurbished.
